Ooh, 2015 is going to be an exciting one, and already the changes are starting to pop up. As you might have noticed I’ve made some changes to my website (isn’t it pretty!?), well it’s still a work in progress but I’m getting there, oh and when changing over the content from my old website to the new one it decided it didn’t want to bring any of my photos with it, so it looks like there’ll be a fresh start on the front to, just as well that I have a serious amount of sessions and wedding to share so it won’t be long filling up with photos again.
The biggest change to come will be happening in July when my beautiful little family will be growing by one; at last our longed for little rainbow baby will be joining us. This of course means that I’ll need to take some time off; my maternity leave will be starting on Friday June 5th, with last available session date being Saturday May 23rd to give time for orders to be processed before I waddle off and being my nesting. I don’t have a set return date just yet, but it’s likely to be in early 2016 as I want to spend as much time with my little ones as possible.
The next big change you might have noticed already, did you spot that there’s no wedding section on the new website? For the forseeable future I will not be taking on any weddings, and will be focussing solely on newborns with some family work too. My love for weddings will always be there, but they are a huge time commitment (a lot of hours are put into weddings after the actual big day) and I’m just not quite sure how that will work once there are two kids to care for. It is possible that I will return to weddings at some point in the future, most likely when both kids have started into primary school and my morning office hours can be extended a bit from what they are now. Newborns though, I will always be taking newborn sessions in the Galway, Mayo, Kildare and Dublin areas most especially.
So that’s all the changes for the moment, it’s going to be quite a year! What have you planned for the year ahead?
Oh, and here’s a sneak look at some of the session blogs to come…
